Edinburgh (Scotland), September 30, 2018: Blackbull Equities announced today that Luciano Niedermann has been appointed member of the Hyperloop team of the University of Edinburgh (HYPED), which is dedicated to accelerating the Hyperloop development and implementation in the United Kingdom. Luciano Niedermann has accepted the postion of project manager for the static (composites) sub-team of HYPED Simulation.
Hyperloop is SpaceX's Elon Musk's concept for mass transportation of the future, with electrically propelled pods travel between cities through a near-vacuum tube, with speeds of several hundred miles, comparable to an aircraft. The Hyperloop concept has a global interest and investments from various companies, including Virgin Hyperloop One. HYPED is the winner of the Virgin Hyperloop One Global Challenge, having proposed a route connecting Edinburgh to London, with a total journey time of 50 minutes. HYPED is also a finalist of the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition, having designed and built a functioning prototype pod, demonstrating key technologies that drive the Hyperloop.
